Five Questions: Weather

Dec 10, 2008 14:28

Since it's getting pretty cold in much of the northern hemisphere, this week's questions are about parrots and weather.

1. What are the hottest and coldest temperatures that you think are appropriate living conditions for companion parrots? (If it varies based on species, tell us what species you're talking about.)

2. What are the hottest and coldest temperatures at which you'd take your birds outside? How long would you expose them to those temperatures?

3. Do you make any special accommodations for your birds in the winter? If so, what are they?

4. Do you make any special accommodations for your birds in the summer? What are they?

5. What kind of body language does your bird use to indicate that it is too cold? Too hot?
