My boyfriend and I have been discussing whether to keep Kappa clipped as her feathers grow out. He prefers we keep her clipped b/c (as he believes) he won't have to worry about shutting the doors and having her escape. I want to first wait until Kappa is used to him, and then let her feathers grow out, and point out that being clipped won't prevent a bird from escaping, only reduce the chance.
So to get some hard data to back me up, I'd like to know if you've ever lost or found a bird, and if the bird was clipped. (My apologies if this stirs up bad memories.) Also just out of curiosity I asked a bunch of other questions regarding clipping.
Edit: To clarify, if you had a bird escape and then recover it, please check BOTH that it escaped and was recovered. You cannot recover your own bird without it escaping first.
