I'm not sure what you mean by your question, though. Are you asking why the Cylons are attacking or why Wilson and House are caught up in it? The whole thing with the Cylons is that they're these androids the humans made, and they rebelled and then they came back to kill all the humans of these planets, the Twelve Colonies. It's much easier to understand if you've seen Battlestar Galactica (the new one).

And the reason why House and Wilson are a part of it is because I thought it would be really interesting to see what would happen if they got caught up in this situation, so it's basically their House M.D. background kind of translated a bit to Colonial culture and life.

ZOMG fangirl love!!! My husband and I watch the new BSG religiously, and this is right on target. I wouldn't mind seeing more of this sort of crossover. Lots of good angst and suspense to be had mixing House and Wilson up in that universe.

And yeah, there is a plot bunny involving House and Wilson and New Caprica kicking around in my brain somewhere, but we shall see.

I liked this a lot.

It was tense and dramatic, with very good voices. I haven't watched BSG in years (old or new) but had absolutely no problem with the AU.

Nicely done -- I would definitely read more if you made a series out of this.

You see, I feel as though, from the show, at least (but that might be Fox not wanting to lose viewers) that House is somewhat apolitical and cynical toward politics in general, and he probably would have disliked Zarek for his whole "being willing to commit terrorism in order to being about political change" thing that he was well known for before he was released. Wilson, on the other hand, would probably have been more susceptible to Zarek's idealism.

And they both would have seen how weasely Baltar was.

I feel like Wilson would have voted for Roslin (because her whole religious thing wouldn't have bothered him that much), and House wouldn't have voted at all.

Also, blackmail makes BSG!Wilson sad. He thinks he might go off and have sex with Zarek now, even though that makes like, absolutely no sense.
