Well I got the mice all cleaned out again and I put the new aspen pellets I had talked about before in there. I put some pieces of paper towels in there so they could have something soft to sleep on. They have been sleeping inside the paper towel rolls. They are so cute.
They still don't really like being handled...Priscilla (one with more black) especially. At least they don't bite though. Phoebe (one with more white) is a bit more calm and while I can tell she is scared at times, she is a lot more calm with me. I even was able to pet her a few times and she just sat there. When she climbed up on my shoulder she let me rub on here more. Priscilla though wants nothing to do with me. She won't take food from me either yet. Phoebe has a couple of times but won't every time.
I was trying to figure out their sex. I know how to sex mice but when I don't have one sex next to the other it is so hard to tell unless the pee pee hole is really close to the poopey hole which is the case with Priscilla. She is definitely a girl. Phoebe though if I had to guess I would say girl but her holes seemed a bit further apart though really not that much more. And I can't imagine she is a boy and Priscilla is a girl because I am like the 3rd owner of these mice and no one has had babies. So I guess they are girls.
I got a new wheel but it wasn't the silent spinner that I wanted. They were out of the ones in their size. I couldn't stand the squeaking though so I got the one in the pic until I could get a silent spinner. This one rattles but at least it doesn't squeak.
