Congrats on starting your diet/exercise plan. You asked about carrot fries and they're really simple and delish:

Cut carrots vertically twice(slices)so they look like fries.

Coat in 1 tablespoon (or less) of olive (or similar) oil.

Sprinkle on some dried thyme or whatever seasoning you think would pair with carrots.

Bake for 45 to 50 minutes on 450F

When they're almost done I like to sprinkle with 1 Tbs of balsamic vinegar for some bite but that's not everyone's style.

They're filling, and there's hardly any calories.

So glad you like the site! I always do a book club during the summer on there with some of my college girlfriends who now live all over the country.

And don't feel bad. My husband has been smaller than me for as long as I've known him. Nothing I can really do about it though, sigh.

I have always wanted to do a book club. A few years back I even googled looking for one in my area but couldn't find one. If you think about it and don't mind, when y'all do one next I would love to do it. I mean if it's just a your friend thing I totally would understand. I think a virtual one could be fun too.
