Fear of Bathing: Conquered
I love this community. A couple months ago I posted here: http://community.livejournal.com/parrot_lovers/4478656.html asking about my cockatiel who hated baths. Well, thanks to you all, I finally got him to ENJOY bathing!!! For the past week or so I've been taking him into the bathroom with me while I shower, and he likes to sit on the shower rod and whistle away while I bathe. I tried to get him into the water, but he would freak out. But after a week of watching me survive the perils of showerland, I got him to sit on my shoulder and brave the water! Leroy stuck his head in the water, closed his eyes happily, and spread his wings. I'm so happy that my little boy finally likes his baths!

I think I was talking about how if you hold him like that he'll poop on the floor and not you. We're working on the whole "don't poop on mommy" thing.
And while I'm here, has anyone tried this dehydrator http://www.amazon.com/Nesco-FD-75PR-700-Watt-Food-Dehydrator/dp/B000FFVJ3C/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top or know if it's bird-safe or not?
