I do not know yet, I'm not planning on anything for a while so I am open to ideas, just doing research for now... I do like caiques, the smaller macaws, and the pyhurra(?) conures.
If you're interested in even more options, dusky conures are an aratinga conure which combine some of the best parts of aratingas and pyhurras both. They're not particularly common in aviculture in the US, but I'm really glad I stumbled across mine. :)
gotchya! Well I see your in NC and if you're ever in the Greensboro area, you should stop by Stephie's Birds. She's got all of those birds at her store right now that you could come and play with, just so you can get a feeling for them and each of their quirks. They are all great birds, but very different from one another.
Ohh hmm...I'm only in NC for college, and greensboro is about 2.5hrs away, but I totally love visitng places and seeing their birds... gunna check her website out!
