Introduction Post
I am the proud owner of 2 parrots. There's Buddy, my 10 year old Double Yellowheaded Amazon. Buddy is a wonderfully sweet, goofy bird. He has inspired me to go off to Central America and to south Texas to look at his relatives. Seeing Scarlet Macaws in Costa Rica inspired me to get my great big cranky Scarlet named Randy. With Randy, I knew what I was getting into, and he wants to be a good bird, but he can't help his Scarlet Macaw nature. He's 2 now and I hand fed him and weaned him from about 2 months old.
Let's see, what else? I have done parrot rescue once, which was quite satisfying and all 7 birds went to good homes. I run a small parrot message board, and I also go birdwatching. I love all kinds of birds.
So, essentially that's me. On to the photos!
