Haha it definitely was an understatement! I've heard budgies and lots of their tweetings but not quite that much, it was more an intermittent tweeting. then again, if i remember correctly there were only... two? i see two in your video, but either you have a lot more, or the budgies i have heard are actually very quiet

I have six budgies, so they are louder than two budgies, and of those six, four are boys who tend to do more singing, like in the video, than just random chirping like the girls do. Happy budgies are noisy budgies though. If budgies are quiet it's time to try and figure out what's wrong IME! lol.

LOL at the budgies! They are so loud! I love their colors too. What is that pattern called? They're very pretty.

And I must say, I am uber impressed with your Amazon right now. When he went to turn the keys on the treasure chest it kinda wow'd me. Very deliberate and smart.

Looks like you must have fun keeping everyone occupied and quiet. :P

Occupied maybe, quiet never, though they're not always quite that loud. :) Seafoam, the one who was singing, is a dominant pied cobalt male with violet factor. Salt, who was preening, is a yellowface type 2 violet cobalt dominant pied opaline split to greywing. Budgie mutations are quite a mouthful!

Um excuse me, PARROT ABUSE! That amazon simply does not have enough stimulating toys...sheesh.

Also - OMG I can't stand constant budgie chatter lol I envy your patience.

If I actually *heard* the chatter it might irritate me, but I've had budgies for almost 10 years now and rarely even notice they're being noisy unless they're being exceptionally loud, one of the girls is throwing a fit, or one of them has decided they need to sing IN MY EAR. Part of it is guilt- I worry that I'm gone too much with school, so I try to make sure Jasper's kept busy with toys!

I, otoh, cannot deal with conure, tiel or lovie noises! Go figure, right?

LOL I can't stand conure noise either :D Munchkin is very quiet 99% of the time (knock on wood). I'm grateful conures but be loud but they aren't noisy.

That reminds me of when I first started dating my boyfriend before my budige passed. He was in my room visibly concerned going, "How do you STAND it?!" I had no idea what he was talking about until he gestured towards Sunshine. Funny how budgie babbling very easily turns into white noise, haha.

Oh, criminy, this is why I do not have budgies. I might learn to tune it out, but the husband would kick me AND the budgies out before learning to tune it out!

They're adorable, though...

When we were dating and Bud would be just amazed at my parent's house - Dad had the TV blaring and the budgies would try to match it :-D

Well, at least Bud knew from the beginning that there would be budgies! :D My poor man had no idea I'd be a bird person!

Yes, that's true! I think I'll always love those pictures of your hubs and Sunshine though - she can really convert people, I think ;-)
