(no subject)
The past few days have been so wonderful. Wow. How odd, for me to be in a lasting good mood.
Work is getting interesting, since I'll be leaving in two weeks... I've gotten so close to some of the kids. Even Elise, who drives us INSANE with her incredibly uncontrolled energy... but she just has so much LIFE in her. I'd take that over a kid who watches TV the whole time anyday. And of course the parents are all so frustrating sometimes... people don't know how to fucking look at the clock and come back to get their kids on time; everyone has to stay EXACTLY two hours (the maximum) and leave their poor kids (and us!)waiting for them come noon. But I'm going to miss the kids so much when I go back to school... I bought some books for Thomas, Jane, and Elise. I got Elise Curious George, which I thought was appropriate, because they're both always getting themselves into trouble by being too curious and touching everything. I know no one cares about all that because you don't know who these kids are, but whatever. My journal. ;D
And of course, I've had so much fun with Chris. We went to the Red Sox game tonight... they lost 3-2 to the Athletics, but oh well. I got a pink hat. !!! Hah. That's all i need to be happy, something random like a pink hat.
Ooh, and I accidentally caused an internet love story. :) I was talking to two friends on AIM at the same time and I gave one the other's screen name for some reason or another... well, they started chatting, and it turns out they live 15 minutes apart. A week later, they're dating and they won't stop talking about each other. See, it's shit like this that just makes everything worthwhile. They keep thanking me; it's so sweet. I'm just thrilled that they're both so happy. <333
So everything has been great! I might even be going to Virginia Thursday to Monday to see my cousin Molly and her daughter Janie, who's now 2 months old and probably soooo much bigger than she was when I first saw her as a newborn... *sob* I know the girls reading this are mildly interested, at least ;D But I've never been to VA, so I'm excited. Just have to find someone to cover at work for Friday, Saturday, and Monday. Hrm. Luckily I work for family, so I can fudge that and get coverage for just 2 days if I have to...
