want to do list

Instead of a goals list, this is my short want-to-do list. I want to make an effort to do these things, but if it doesn't happen, I won't feel like I've failed. It's kind of like the concept of want vs. need, except in the realm of goal-setting. To me, a goal is something that if not achieved, it would be a failure. This is more of a list of things I'd like to put effort toward, but without the self-imposed stress of potential failure.

1. Learn to speak conversational Spanish
I think it would be cool to know a second language. I have a lot of Spanish-speaking relatives, and it is a practical skill. I took 4 years of Spanish in high school and could even think in Spanish at the end of my courses, but I've lost much of what I knew.
Limitations: I'm not going to pursue this until after I graduate.

2. Run a 10k
It does not have to be an official 10k. It can be any route. I must remain in running form through the duration of the run, regardless of actual speed. I feel like I'd really have to be in shape to run a 10k, but it is not so brutal on the body that I think it is a detrimental goal. I am not built to be a runner, and very long runs are not good for the body. I may have needed to prove to myself that I could run 2 miles, eat 12 donuts, and run 2 miles back, but I plan on that being the extent of my physical abuse for the sake of proving that I can do something ridiculous.
Limitations: I want to run outdoors. The indoor gym track is bad for my right foot. I will need to have an unknown number of allergy shots before this will be reasonable. 3 miles is a big allergy struggle for me right now.

3. Run a 10k in less than an hour.
Like I said, I'm not built to run. A 10k in less than an hour is a little slower than a sustained 9.5 minute mile. This is reasonable.
Limitations: See above.

4. Find a place to volunteer once/month
I love volunteering. I don't do it much right now.
Limitations: Time, until I graduate.

5. Successfully plan and carry out a couple of trips/adventures that I always talk about, but never do.
White-water rafting
Sky diving
Hiking trip in the mountains (not in March!)
Explore state parks I haven't been to before
Limitations: Maybe time, depending on the length of trip, but more likely actually attempting to organize friends to go with me. Secondarily, getting friends to commit and follow through.

6. Host/organize pot lucks/cook-outs
Limitations: Mostly, I'm lazy about bothering. If I set up a once/month event, I know I'd love it! It doesn't always have to be at my place, but I'd volunteer it as a default location.
