ARGH SO PISSED
So I found a costume store in the (general) area, and went there after work today. To buy some elf ear tips and spirit gum, so I didnt have to order off ebay and wait a week to see if they even work, yknow.
The lady helping me was extremely unhelpful, annoyingly so. I asked for the elf ear tips, and she pulled a few off the wall. The ones I really wanted were on the highest row, so I asked her to grab those for me (being all apologetic and nice about it, of course). But she resists, saying the ears I had were pretty much the same thing and blah blah blah (they were larger, and thats not what I asked, lady) and eventually she gets them for me.
One of the ears is in its place in the package, and the other is kind of....floating in the middle and pinned down, not in its designated area. It looked kinda odd to me, but I figured it just slipped and it was fine. And I didn't want to piss of the big black grumpy lady again.
Wandered around, bought some more stuff, left.
Took them out of the package tonight: the ear is TOTALLY gimpy! The latex isn't formed like an ear like the other one, and it is NOTICEABLY thinner. Looks like a triangle-y piece of latex, not a shaped, pointed ear. NOT ACCEPTABLE.
But of course, since it's a costume store, they firmly say EVERYWHERE that there are no returns or exchanges.
These things cost me almost $14! I am so SICK of wasting money on things that are crappy and won't work. And it just galls me to have to eat the cost and buy ears off of ebay anyway. I shouldn't be overpaying these people for gimpy things I can't even use!!!!
Wondering if I should head out to them anyway (they are SO out of town and out of the way) and plead my case. Its not like I bought them, makeup-ed them up and am trying to scam them out of something, I just want product that's, yknow, NOT ripoff-y and gimpy.
I'm about to drop $15 on an orb for Codex's staff, my money situation isn't as cushy as I would like it anyway, and I just......that's such CRAP!!! I'm so meek though, I don't know if I could walk in and try to go against all the claims and signs for no returns. I can't use these though! ARGH! >.x >.x >.x!!!!
