Aug 06, 2006 15:40

We roll tonight. To the guitar-ah fight. And for those about to be all obscure and hot with it, we salute you.

Born in Bombay, Ayesha Dharker (sometimes referred to as Ayesha Dharkar) found her breakthrough role in Santosh Sivan's The Terrorist. From there, she went on to work with British Asian author, actress and screenwriter Meera Syal three times; in the film Anita and Me, the stage show Bombay Dreams and the TV series Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee. She played Queen Jamillia in Star Wars Episode II - Attack of the Clones and appeared in The Mistress of Spices and Merchant-Ivory's The Mystic Masseur.
