There's a very curious article in today's Times about movie piracy - I'd give you the link, but it's actually too dull even to search for, basically the Official Version writ newspaper. Piracy is evil, it's costing the movie industry billions of cents every year, it funds terrorism, et cetera, et cetera. What did interest me was the box-out at the end of piracy "facts", which ended by noting that the DVD of The Constant Gardener is £16.99 on the high street but is available for just £10.99 "on Amazon.com".
Obviously, a paper so funky and hep to the groove as The Times would never be so clueless as to assume that any product bought off the internet is by definition suspect, nor would it dare to link a reputable company like Amazon.com with movie piracy - which funds terrorism, you know. For one thing, I have a sneaking feeling that, if that's what they were implying, they would be staring down the barrel of a very, very punitive lawsuit in the near future.
On another note, Jazz got smashed
again yesterday, to terrific effect:
Faisal: Can you remember Mark, Jazz? All I can remember was that he was a black guy.
Jazz: He was... he was a black guy, yeah. He drove this car... a maroon Toyota, it was... M-reg, I think it was... and it had a sticker... on the window... saying 'Faisal Is A Cunt'.
