Rainy days are for updating!
Smashing week! All smashing weeks deserve an entry, but I've been too tamad to update. Now, however, it is 6:26 and raining and you can never be too tamad to do anything when it's 6:26 and raining :)
Worlds was the coolest experience ever. Met soooo many (hawt) people. Saw so many brilliant debaters (my team included OF COURSE) and not very good ones. The hotel was just heaven. I felt like a princess (in a powersuit). Awesome ng B-boys grabe!!! I'm used to walking in heels na. Heck, I adventured Seoul in them. The taxi's are all Mercedes-Benz! Went to the Royal Palace and had my picture taken with the fake Korean emperor. Also saw a fake samurai duel. No samurais in Korea, but I don't know what else to call Korean soldiers hehehe. I know how to curse in Czech! Spritzlmirtle! I don't know about the spelling, but it sounds like that. Of course, we taught the Czechs to curse too. One of my favorite moments was having this really intellectual conversation with a Singaporean and Dutch girl about death penalty and weed. Also talking with KT and Wong and having my picture taken with them cute Korean kids!!!!!!!!! Too bad I left early :(
Thanks to Mrs. Poon and Claudia for making my stay extra smashing (not to mention possible). I will forever be indebted to them. Thanks also to all those Korean taxi drivers who brought me to and fro the hotels and who didn't rape me or steal the little amount of won I had. For some reason, the nightly taxi drives are my most vivid memory of Worlds. I wish my mind could take pictures. I wish I could remember everything. Oh, and I will miss the twins. :(
After, my sis and I watched Transformers. I love Optimus Prime. I have a soft spot for Bumblebee though. Now, everytime I see a car, I try to imagine what it'd look like in Autobot form. What would a jeep look like? What about a tricycle? Haha, a tricycle would make such a supot Autobot.
Another lovely addition to last week: MY BROTHER IS EFFING GETTING MARRIED!!!!
Ate Steph, his girlfriend has an abnormal uterus and must conceive before November or she may never ever have a baby! So they're getting married on October! October 29 to be exact! October is going to be really busy for me then because that's when I'm taking SATs and that's the month of the FAIR!!!! I have to start praying na and offer eggs to Santa Clara. ----> That's an MC SC tradition. We offer eggs so it won't rain. Cool noh? :)
I'm going to be a bridesmaid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heck. I'm going to be a TITA!!!!!!! Oh, I'm going to be the coooooolest tita ever on this planet!!!!!!!! Hahaha, I'll be the tita who smuggles in the naughty boyfriend. I'll be the tita who buys her nephew his first pack of condoms. Hahahahah.
On a lighter note, I want Grecian sandals.
