Getting settled in my new home

Well I just got up because its 1230 here. I still been going to bed late and getting up late. Yesterday was a great day here in Sweden. It did not rain at all which is a surprise. I also went to a soccer game. It was great! It was AIK playing another team that isn’t from Stockholm. Before the game I took the bus, which was an experience by itself. I did not know where the bus stop was, so Fredrik took me. When he pointed to where the bus station was there was a bus pulling up. He told me that was mine, and I better run. So I ran as fast as I could and barely made it as the bus was turning the corner. So I got to Emma’s house, and then we went to get some Chinese food before the game. Then off to the game! We sat in the section where all the rowdy fans are. They call all those fans the black army. So the game was great! AIK won 2-0 and there were a lot of fouls and hurt players, the goalie even got a red card. After that I went to Emma’s house and we watched a movie, another James Bond one. I have seen a few of those since arriving. Then Kenneth picked me up and we drove home. In the car we had a good conversation and I really got to meet him I think. He told me that my Floor ball practices would be starting on Wednesday!
Well on the weekend we went up to Max’s cabin because it was his birthday. It was so much fun. Their cabin is very nice and is along the water. We had a crayfish party! So we had crayfish with bread and cheese for an appetizer, then for dinner we had steak and potatoes! Probably the best meal I have had since arriving. After dinner the kids went and played with the bow and arrow, and then we went and watch 2 movies. We watched Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. As you can see we have seen a lot of movies. Emil, Max and I went to sleep in the small cabin outside of the house that night. We all talked until 430am, and then woke up at 1130 to Carola waking us up. That is the second time I have been woken up. That didn’t happen to often back home.
On Sunday we had breakfast which consisted of eggs, sausage, and of course bread with butter and cheese. They really like bread with butter and cheese here. After that the Max’s parents, Carola, Anna, and I went out into the forest looking for mushrooms. You can pick and eat the mushrooms here, well most of them you can. We didn’t find any, but it was very pretty in the forest. After that, Max’s parents and Kenneth and Carola took me out on the boat to see the Archipelago. I was looking at the Sea map and I could not believe how many islands there were. There are about 200,000 islands that make up the Swedish archipelago. After the boat trip we packed up our stuff and went back to the Dunkers cabin. It is really cool! There are 2 houses actually, one that is old, and another one that is older. They are actually remodeling the newest one though. The oldest one dates back to about the 1850’s Kenneth said. While we were there I mowed the lawn! I thought it was so much fun; I haven’t done that since back in Canada. I also used the weed whacker which was great! We made our way home that night and went to sleep at like 2am, another late night for Parker. I really think I will start to go to bed a little bit earlier than that soon, but who knows.
