Karen Anderson, Mensa, just got back to me. ERB results do count, providing the test-taker scored in or above the 98th percentile in both math and verbal sections. Gotta dig up my old ERB scores, apparently!

Criticism taken.

Chiefly, and this will sound like more arrogance, but chiefly the point of the Mensa-escapades was strictly satire. While I like the idea of a "high iq society," I think Mensa is just mostly guys who are very arrogant. The idea of joining such a group appealed to me for comedic reasons, I suppose.

On the other hand, I won't deny the notion that I would've liked to meet some of these Mensans, because most probably they did not join as a joke. I'd be interested in seeing what kind of person actually decides to join.

Finally, I thought the idea of adding "Mensan" to my title (as in, Parker Higgins, Mensan Local Branch 600, or whatnot) really cracks me up.

I hope this insight into my motivation neutralizes whatever bad taste these entries happened to leave in your mouth. Furthermore, what is anonymous posting for if not things you don't want to attach your face to? In all seriousness, I applaud you.

And just for clarification, I discovered Mensa dues were $49 annually. While this makes the picture of somebody in the group even funnier, it seems like a less than worthwhile joke right now. Until further notice, then, no new Mensa news.
