So. Yeah. Finished Mockingjay at midnight last night - and by the end of it, I was pretty much a sobbing wreck of a human.

Yes. And I did the same thing you did when I finished. I closed Mockingjay then opened Hunger Games again and started rereading immediately.

Everything about it. Every moment. When she reminds him of the little things, when she says "don't let him take you from me," every touch, every look, "because that's what we do, we take care of each other."

Because suddenly, it wasn't easy for Katniss. She had to fight for Peeta just as he had to fight for her.

Omg. Yeah. Now I'm wanting to read it again.

So now I can share my absolute favorite fanart with you - no idea who drew it, but I call it "nightmares."

Holy GOD. I was, like, whimpering at that.

And yes - suddenly, it got really hard and she hated it and was so frustrated and so didn't want to want to do it, but she HAD to. I think Kate put it best when she said her feelings come through crystal clear when she's not on guard, but she's always on guard.

When they rescue Annie and Peeta? And she's running toward him and just thinking that she doesn't need to say anything because they'll be kissing? Yeah. Just. Yeah.

Yeah. She's all sure he's dead, bracing herself for that, when she rubs the pearl on her lips, when she finally breaks after the last torture and then...and then...he comes back and omg. I cried. I had to put the book down for a minute.

That's why the other day I was all "I can't even" when you were talking about how he just always loves her - I knew where you were headed and I wanted all the creys.

Her with the pill after killing Coin. "Let me go." "I can't."

And then...he just shows up in 11, planting her primroses. Hi. Dead.

Oh, man. The pill. 'I can't.' Because they always save each other, even from themselves.

And yes! Him just showing up?! Just...there one day. Planting primroses and baking bread and not talking and just. Everything. EVERYTHING.
