My family takes the whole 'no news is good news' thing to the next level.
To wit - during my four years of undergrad, they called me exactly three times. Twice was because someone had died. The other one - I told them I was going to be home for the weekend. They called on Sunday afternoon, though I was supposed to be there on Friday night.
So, yes - no news is good news. No news means everything is fine.
I also know that Irene wasn't bad.
However - I have not heard from either my parents or my brother since Saturday morning. And I know that it's just that power is out and all mobile circuits are busy, but it's still vaguely annoying.
Another thing which makes me want to tear my hair out?
My DVR DIDN'T RECORD DOCTOR WHO ON SATURDAY NIGHT.
It recorded the entire marathon leading up to the new ep and it also taped 'Best of the Companions' but not 'Let's Kill Hitler.'
I was...less than pleased when I saw that last night.
