Can I just say that I made excellent time yesterday? I so have the dad disease when driving, but it's pretty exciting.
I got from Birmingham to my apartment in DC in 13 hours. This is with having to stop once to pee, once to get gas and having a 15-minute adventure in Henderson, NC in which I ran around, looking for tampons after I discovered my period started two days early (I eventually found some at the Family Dollar and the awesome cashier let me use the employee restroom).
Also, I went the long way - through Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia (as opposed to the quicker way through Tennessee, then Virginia) because of that band of crazy, tornado-inducing storms.
And I'm not just talking from getting in my car in Birmingham to driving into DC - I mean, I stashed my car, then metroed it back to my apartment.
All in 13 hours.
I feel pretty awesome.
I was at home in time to watch 'The Beast Below' and I have just one thing to say -
I LOVE AND ADORE MATT SMITH. ♥ x infinity.
I might (and I know this is sacrilege, so get your stones ready) possibly love Eleven more than I do Ten.
It's just...I love how still he is. To be sure, he has his spastic moments and I love when he runs and twirls and spins, but that's not his default setting. I believe he's terrible and ancient beneath the mania.
Plus he's totally a cheeky bastard and I love it.
Speaking of cheeky - I love Amy Pond. A LOT.
So, yes - series 5 is blowing my skirt up already.
Now, because Jesus hates me, I have to go into work. Sigh.
