Just What I needed
So I really really really really hate my job it sucks the smelliest balls ever.
When I was terminated at the post office though I filed a grievance with my union this was last August, almost a year ago... The post office has never actually processed my termination, I still get bi-weekly check stubs with a $0.00 amount and letters notifying me that my raises have been processed, etc. The post office has a policy that after being in an assignment for one year you are elligible to re-assign to a different office or position, that would be on 06/09 in just over one week, so I called Charlie the union president today, to develop a strategy for doing so. He informed me that my case actually came up two weeks ago during meetings and they are willing to settle it by offering me my job back!! the union was looking for full back pay which as awesome as that would be ($18+/hr *40hrs/week* almost 10 months= holy shit) I don't need it as bad as I need future income and management doesn't want to accept that anyway. Management would want to put me in another 90 day probation during which if I even smile wrong they can terminate me, I am okay with those terms, I just have to make an extra effort to be there early every day with the biggest smile ever, do my job better then expectations warrent, with the best attitude ever, no being tired no cell phone no long breaks no iPod just straight focus. I told him to accept the offer and may have my job back within a month! If this happens no one is going to see me for 3 months, you will all manage I am sure, :)
