'Expendables' star Terry Crews has won a role on Aaron Sorkin's new HBO drama The Newsroom.
The series, which stars Jeff Daniels, Dev Patel, Emily Mortimer and Olivia Munn, focuses on a team working on a broadcast news programme.
The Expendables star Crews will play Lonny, the bodyguard of news anchor Will McAvoy (Daniels), according to Deadline.
Crews currently stars in TBS sitcom Are We There Yet? and will next be seen in action sequel The Expendables 2.
Other stars confirmed for The Newsroom include Alison Pill, John Gallagher Jr, Thomas Sadoski and Sam Waterston.
The series will premiere on HBO later this year.
Jane Fonda has been cast in Aaron Sorkin's new cable newsroom drama for HBO.
The multi award-winning actress - who was married to CNN founder Ted Turner from 1991 to 2001 - will play media mogul Leona Lansing in the Social Network and Moneyball writer's new project, TV Line reports.
Mortimer recently described her character Mackenzie McHale as "charismatic... crazy [and] demented", quipping that The Newsroom will also feature Sorkin's trademark "cool chit-chat [while] walking down endless corridors".
