Boardwalk, etc.
It’s rainy today. Poor Beckett, I think his arthritis gets worse during the rainy weather. The weekend was all right. I think the rainy weather probably will be more frequent as the fall goes into winter.
On to Broadwalk, Flashbacks again. It feels like a slow burn. But I did find the interplay between Nucky & Margret interesting. I had a feeling that something was going to happen to Sally especially since Margret & Nucky have found some common ground. With Margret as with others Nucky can spot talent.
Also, Sally sounded uneasy when she was talking to Nucky and the Bacardi were egger to leave Cuba. I would have thought that Sally would be more tapped into what was happening in Cuba perhaps it happened too fast to leave. I wonder if they would let her turn around, shouldn’t you let them ask for the bribe or at least hint at the bribe? It looks like Nucky’s dream of being a legitimate businessman may be over. Perhaps get revenge but he should forget Cuba after that.
It was a close one for Van Alden. Appealing to Capone’s vanity was a good strategy. It also sparked something between Capone & Luciano. That guy who had the bad timing got all of Capone’s wrath. I wonder how Capone and Nucky will work out.
Nothing on Chalky or Gillian this week but previews show they will be in the next episode. It looks like Nucky will reject Chalky. I think that would be mistake yet Chalky seems off his game. I wonder, is Gillian going try to reach her grandson?
