It's the second day of the new year. All has been well thus far. Today was the blasted day of Christmas removal. Out with lights and trees! Now in my shrunken cowboy shirt; I'm hiding out in my den listening to Amnesiac and previewing the great artwork of Aaron Burtch.
This holiday season, I would say I was kind to the Jameson Whiskey. Some would say I was a housebroken drunk. No spills or messes to clean. Here's a short compilation of memories from the last day of twothousandandfive: (Won't you lend me your memories as well)
we ate gourmet pizza
we listened to Handsome Family
we shared old stories
we pre-gamed in a bar
we threw snowballs
we attended crowded house parites
we shouted above the Toots and Maytals record
we sang songs outloud
we played Catch-phrase with strangers
we drank from a flask
we breakdanced in the kitchen
we counted down the ball drop
we hugged strangers
we called friends on our cell phones
we left drunken messages
we designated a sober driver
we shared whiskey in a moving car
we laughed out loud at a Family Guy episode
we listened to dangerdoom
we fell asleep
I hope I hear from you friends soon.
