The city lights up around them and Kihyun grips the railing tightly. The wind whips through his hair, rustling his jacket even though it's zipped up tight. He feels Hoseok's hand cover his own and he risks a look at his boyfriend. There's pain on his face, fear, but he's up here anyway.
Kihyun look away from the beautiful site, the city light up before them, and turns Hoseok's face toward his. He pulls his boyfriend to him, kissing him. He whispers against his mouth words that Hoseok can't hear. Later he'll tell him how beautiful the lights are, how alive he felt. Later.
Now he just holds his boyfriend close, turning him away from the edge, from his fear. He looks out over the city instead, enjoying the view and never letting go of Hoseok. The next time they'll do something he hates and he'll do it because that's what they do for each other.
But for now he'll just enjoy the fight, the lights blurring in his vision, from the tears he's not willing to shed, ones he can't explain, for feeling he has no words for. He feels Hoseok's arms tight around him, his boyfriend's mouth against his neck. It is enough.
