A minor freak-out.
EXCITEMENT! Oh man, I was all er...? about this, thinking it was nothing, until I read it to my parents, and now I can't seem to keep still. Two terms ago (in the winter) I did a wine label design for Big Tattoo Wine. It was for a class, there are about 45 entries, and suddenly, months later (I figured they'd chosen something and just hadn't announced it) I get this email from a teacher in my illustration department, including:
"Remember the wonderful wine label Art you created for the "Big Tattoo" competition not so long ago?
The client is interested in paying you for a re-use of the work you submitted yet... not chosen.
Opportunity knocks, please contact me if you're interested."
Now, this was sent to two other people besides me, but now that my parents got excited I'm jittery as hell. I don't know what exactly he means, but the possibility of my simple picture being used on something in stores just gets my hyper as fuck. xD
