(no subject)
I have to write about this before I forget -
tonight I had to pick the kids that I babysit up from school and bring them home. we take the subway, and I was anticipating that the trains would be running slow and would be crowded, but we waited about 1 full minute, and got on a relatively empty train. score 1! when we got on the train, Catie saw an empty seat between 2 guys, so she sat down. 2 seconds after she sat down, the 2 guys got up in unison...couldn't have been better if they rehearsed it...so that Declan and I could sit with her. score 5 for chivalry not being dead. Declan sat down, and I started to sit down but I was tripping over school bags and then the train started moving....and the cute guy who had vacated the seat I was trying to take caught me as I started to fall and helped me to the seat. score 20, because he was really cute. and to top it off, I looked up and noticed that he was reading Don Juan. :-p
that totally balances out the creepy guy who kept staring at me and scratching his face on the very crowded train I took to get to the kids' school in the first place....yikes.
