I did something today that I have not done in a long time. I ran...for exercise. Now, I know you are thinking this woman has not run in years, she must be a fat ass. You are correct. Ryan has been walk/running every day for about two months and today asked me to join him. I used to be a very athletic person but I have become busy and lazy but I charged up my I-pod and went along. I am really not a fan of "walking" as exercise. It's boring, but I know how out of shape I am so I knew that running would most likely bring emergency vehicles so I walked. Thank goodness for music. So, I am walking at a pretty good clip and at about mile three noticed that I was walking quickly to keep up with the rhythm of the song that just a little faster and i would be running. So I did. I gave my self a goal to make it across two windey bridges before I walked because if I stopped midway i would look like an idiot (as if ANYONE was paying attention to me) So I began to run at the very beginning and it was going OK but people were really getting in my way! About 3/4 of the way through i started to feel like walking, but I have to keep my sad goal so i pushed a little harder (and almost pushed some idiot in to the water) and made it to the end. Yea for me. This would seem like such a feat, but katie routinely runs the entire lake!! But i did it...and now Ryan will make me go tomorrow! Damn-it!
