(no subject)
So you know how the garbage truck wakes me up every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 6:37 AM with its reversing noise? I've tried complaining to 311 and to God knows how many agencies, but nothing has worked. They claim there's nothing they can do about the reversing noise and that they can't shut it off. I have tried various noise machines and earplugs, but nothing works. It still wakes me up, no matter what I do. Being woken up at an indecent hour by something you loathe for about 50% of your life SUCKS, and I'm always in a foul mood for part of those days because of it.
This morning, as I was lying in bed, hitting snooze but not really being able to go back to sleep (I had to get up anyway today), I heard all the other noises that the garbage truck makes except for the evil reversing noise that wakes me up. Once I realized this, I got up, looked out the window, and the garbage and the truck were both gone.
What do I do? They obviously can pick up the garbage without making the evil reversing noise! I just can't figure out who to communicate this to...
