I think you'll be happy to hear this but after I heard about the Big Brother thing and watched it, I never thought to myself that all Brits were racists. Jade and the other two witches are just uncivilized and horrible people. Of course they don't represent all of Britain in any way. But it would be ignorant to say that Britain isn't a racist country. All countries have their share of racists. Nowadays we have multi-cultural societies. Racism is inevitable because no one really wants to understand and learn about the different cultures that exist around them. A majority of people just choose to be ignorant.
The thing that bothered me the most about Big Brother was how Shilpa Shetty was disrespected in the house. She's been my favorite actresses ever since she came on the Bollywood scene back in 1993. I grew up watching her films. It really hurt to see her go through that because I was also reminded of the bullying and racism I experienced when growing up. And I don't think anyone would enjoy seeing their favorite actor/actress be disrespected like that. But I'm proud that Shilpa kept true to her Indian upbringing. ^.^
I just hope Big Brother the show doesn't continue anymore. Reality TV has gone way too far. Don't you agree?
