Hye guys,
It's been quite a while since I've updated. However as many of you know I've been busy, doing tons of stuff as usual. This weekend we had the "Relay for Life", and for those of you who don't lknow what it is, it is an overnight cancer walk in which teams pledge money and then keep someone from their team walkign throught the night. We held ours on the campus oval, and it was alot of fun. I was Co-Luminaria Chair for the event. Luminaria are bags that are sold for 10$ and decorated to honor a cancer surivor, or in memory of somone who has passed on. we sold about 70 of them which isn't as many as the sold last year but isn't a small number either. I was pleased. at 9pm the night fo the Relay we had a reading of all the names that were on the bags, and played some insirational music. A good time was had by all who attended.
This week I am now focusing on SGA elections which are going on as I speak. I am so excited yet nervous at the same time, because I want to win so badly. They say it's not a good thing to take politics personally though so I am working on just letting it be what it is, and being happy for the votes that I do get. Life isn't always about winning, and that is something I really want to try to live by.
My parents are commign this weekend for the Honors dinner. I am getting a special award so they wanted to come and see. I'm excited I don't usually see my parents all that frequently, but recently I have been since they came for my recital, and I went home for easter. But it's all good I love them, and I'm going to be here all summer so I won't be seeing them much then.
Anywho I guess that's about it. The sun is shinning and things are going well.
P.S. If you haven't allready voted, SGA elections are takign place today and tomorrow, so get out there and voice your opinion!
P.P.S. I just happen to think that opinion should support me! ;-)
