In more baking newz...

...I took some pics of the things we were doing in my final lab of the semester today.
It was tempering chocolate, and making chocolate stuff with the tempered chocolate.  Oh, and also bagging up our gingerbread houses we made on Tuesday (they needed time to dry).

Dark Chocolate Bark with almonds (top), and with almonds, pistachios, apricots and cranberries (bottom).  The bottom one is still drying, which is why it`s lighter than the top one.



And here are a few of my G-Bread house.  Please excuse the messy sides of the darn thing; I was so intent on finishing the roof I ran out of time to do the sides well!





I was so proud of this roof; I brought green and grey gumpaste from home, squished it together for a marbled effect, rolled it out thinly, and cut out individual roof tiles.  Ah well, it looks so much better in person...Le sigh...



I brought it home today, and I`m going to attempt to tidy it up and finish it because I want to give it to furious_g `s niece and nephew for Christmas.  Everything on it is completely edible, so I hope they like it!
If it looks any better when I`m done editing, I`ll take more pics and post them.
