Have you read a lot of shooting scripts? I recommend finding some for famous movies online and reading through them. You will understand how much of a script comes down to directorial choices. There is no need to describe what people are wearing or what their apartments look like in specific detail unless it is important to the action or the plot. If you end up tying the character into a murder cause they are wearing the same shoes as the killer, then please describe them, otherwise if the script sells, the costume designer will do their job and find the right clothes for the character. Not leaving options open leaves little scope for creativity on the part of the director, if that is your aim make this a novel not a script ( ... )
