nico link here Don't really listen to much radio, especially when it's in Japanese, because ikka's ears are fail and wouldn't be able to make it. In fact, the only time I understood one full episode (?) of Smile Gang was when the fifth anniversary was made into a video that was later subbed >_<;;;
Catching this week's Smile Gang was something of a coincidence, and could not have happened without
niko-san blogging about it. This
post also has a rather informative (...) writeup on the show, so those who have a grasp of some Chinese/Japanese (!) may find it useful - I know I did. Only skimmed through and listened to it in fragments, though...a straight half an hour's worth of audio-only is a tad too long for ikka.
For those who don't, here's a bit on this week's Smile Gang...unfortunately there's not a lot as my ears aren't discerning enough so this will be muchly based on niko-san's report for help+reference and whatever remaining that ikka could get.
-Tamura Yukari (aka Yukarin, or Yukari-san to Nana-chan, or the voice of a certain devil in white etc etc) was called up as an emergency replacement for the regular co-host, Fukuen Misato, because Misato-san's throat wasn't doing all that great. The notification only came in the night before, too *laugh*
-Title read was oddly funny wwwwwwwww
-After "shassu", the hosts compared the edges Ehime (Nana's hometown) and Fukuoka (Yukarin's hometown) have over each other (if you've listened to it, you'll know ikka is stretching this by quite a lot...), and listeners find out that Ehime has only 5 flights per day. Yukarin mentions that she once went to Nana's live by water and could even see fish lol. She also reads from the script, "I'd like to go to Ehime," to which Nana retorts, "You don't want (desire?) to go there at all!"...and gets more "I wanna go" from the script...*laughs some more*
-In one of the corners Nana reveals that she once went for fortune-telling and got [insert long pause] when she said she was 28...the number of w's that floated across the nico display clouded the screen quickly xD
-ikka snorted as Nana kept going "hnh, hnh" during the Bambino Bambina (Yukarin's next single) introduction. It's around the third quarter of the 13th minute. Somewhere near the 14th minute Yukarin mistakenly annouces the single as being released on the 23rd, with even more w's and both hosts laughing.
-Skipped most of the next part...according to niko-san, while talking about a mail-in regarding the absurd amount of time girls spend when buying clothes (doesn't happen to ikka...I think...) it was revealed that Nana knows of Yukarin's bad habit of dumping clothes just bought into her room without even opening the packaging...which was from one time on Itazura Kuro Usagi (Yukarin's show)...draw your own conclusions hahah.
-MASSIVE WONDERS!!!! ヽ(゚∀゚)ノヽ(゚∀゚)ノヽ(゚∀゚)ノ =ahem= This was after the Bambino Bambina preview and had Nana talking about NANA CLIPS 4 (not 100% sure about this) over it. Then some Elements Garden promo...
-skipped some more...there's a part in niko-san's report which speaks of Yukarin wondering if the audience members really had girlfriends or were just delusional o_O Guess some folks would think it's funny, but it doesn't really strike ikka's LOL point...
-ETERNAL BLAZE (TV size)!!!! UWOOAH!щ(゚Д゚щ)(屮゚Д゚)屮UWOOOAH!
Amidst all the "great show/song"/"Nanoha"/"KITA!!!" comments, the one that really stood out for me was "はやて。はやて。はやて。はやて。" circa 23:23~24...either it's serious or sarcastic...
-Something about a live DVD after ETERNAL BLAZE, then some conversation...
-Another hilarious part at the end after quite a few announcements of stuff Nana's involved in (events, Animelo and the like), when Yukarin is invited (?) to join the Nana fanclub , with cute character goods for pull power rofl Nana-chamo+Nanette FTW xDDDD
OK, so if you passed that up, one more motivation (...?) to listen to this week's show can also be its doubling up as a healing balm for y'all who got mad at SSM 3...or something. For those who'd prefer having Nanoha and FTH giggling away at mundane (?!) things.
I do hope that Misato-san gets better soon, however.
