notes. It's been a while, I know. ;A; I haven't had any inspiration so it was hard to write. This is supposed to make up for the last Soohyun/Kiseop being so not!happy, but I apologize if it's crappy and you hate it.
For his 19th half-birthday, Soohyun took Kiseop to the coast.
He nudged Kiseop awake at 7 in the morning and deposited him into the passenger seat to sleep a few more hours while Soohyun drove in the direction of the rising sun. When Kiseop woke up and started sneezing, he turned off the A/C and rolled down the windows to let a burst of hot air in. It was 90 degrees outside, so when Soohyun finally got them to the beach, he quickly stripped off his cotton t-shirt and ran over the burning sand into the sea. Kiseop lingered behind, enjoying the solitude, put on flip-flops, worn from their daily pool visits last summer, and grabbed their large beach towel and canisters of water.
After setting up a shady haven underneath a beach umbrella he had brought along and repeated splashings from Soohyun trying to hurry him into the water, Kiseop walked to the shore and let the cool water run over his feet. His peaceful reverie was cut off when Soohyun picked him up and threw him into the water. When he managed to get up, soaking wet and displeased, Soohyun waded over and kissed his forehead. He knew that Soohyun was just trying to get out of a scolding, but he still couldn't help but forgive him. Soohyun beamed at him like a happy kid while they swam around and splashed water at each other. Kiseop, now used to the cool water, didn't fight back when Soohyun grabbed his waist and submerged them under the gentle waves. They stared at each other for a few seconds until their lips met, and their kiss was cut off when they ran out of air. Soohyun, dripping wet, led him out of the water by the hand to dry off, and Kiseop could only smile.
Their feet kicked sand onto the towel as they lied down side by side. Soohyun drifted off to sleep and Kiseop idly flicked sand particles off their towel piece by piece, one hand resting under his chin. He nudged Soohyun awake a few hours later when the sun was setting and he wanted to make sure they were back in the city by nightfall. Soohyun refused to get up so Kiseop proceeded to pull him by the arms, hurrying him to start bringing everything to the car. His efforts ended in vain when Soohyun didn't budge and instead pulled Kiseop back down on top of him. When one of Soohyun's strong arms, warm and tan from the summer sun, wrapped around him and a soft hand ran through his hair and came to rest at the nape of his neck, Kiseop decided that the city could wait; he wouldn't mind staying like this a bit longer.
