I am surprised by the overwhelming response to my ad for giving away ebm. Even though people aren't exactly queueing outside my door, there are still quite a few requests. So much so I was in quite a dilemma who to give to.
See, I don't just wan to give to the first person who asked. I also weigh who needs it more. E.g. there are a couple of mothers with kids close to or already 2 years old. Compared to a younger baby or a newborn, I feel that the younger baby will need the ebm more.
I am surprised by the fact that so many babies seem to need ebm donation. I know such donation does not come by so often, so I wonder how these people managed when they don't have ebm. Some of these kids are allergic to formula milk.
I am thinking now that even if my kids don't use the ebm, it would still be good for me to pump just to give away. At least I can help some other babies.
Imagine, if every breastfeeding mother pump and set aside some to give away, we will be able to help quite a lot of babies!
If anyone reading this post has milk to give away, please let me know and I will pass you the contact numbers of some of these people who requested for milk.
