New community for moms, posted with mod's permission
I have been a member of this wonderful community for a while now, and I had great interactions and have been really inspired by many of you. I would love it if some of you checked out and possibly joined my new community for moms, mom_time . Here is a brief summary of what it is about:
As a new mom, I participate in a number of parenting communities and I really enjoy all the new insights and perspectives they have brought to my experience of motherhood. However, I have yet to find a community that focuses on the moms -overall, not on a specific aspect or circumstances of motherhood. So here it is - a place for moms to get together and talk about what being a mom means to you, how it is affecting you as a person, how your parenting reflects who you are, to share your joys, struggles and insecurities... I found that as a new mom I have developed questions and insights that are not directly about parenting, but are very much part of being a mother. This is where we can talk about these - and more. I want this to be a safe space and a support group for new and not-so-new moms.
While the focus of this community is on the moms, our kids are what makes us into moms. Parenting posts are very much welcomed. So are posts about relationships, extended family, work, housekeeping, daily life, personal pursuits - we are not mothers in vacuum, and all of these are what shapes our mothering experience.
