We had a lovely, powerful, purifying thunderstorm yesterday. So early! The nature took a boost and now the leaves in the trees even look like proper leaves. A lovely shade of green <3
We had sleet, water that came pouring down, hail that danced when it hit the ground, the windowsills, the cars on the street, people's umbrellas and heads... Fortunately our hail is small enough not to cause damage. Usually.
The thunder and the lightnings, directly above, it's something that I can not tire of. Never been afraid of thunder, I've just given early gray hair to my parents by dancing in the yard while the lightnings hit the ground nearby. So beautiful.

I remember this heavy work of cast iron from my childhood. There is a strong bearded man driving in his cart pulled by horses, in the sky. He has a hammer in his hand and the lightnings dance around him. It hung on the wall, this black mass of iron, shaped like an opal. There were symbols going around it, pentagrams, goats, bats.. I was kind of terrified of it but still fascinated, could sit in front of it  and just watch it. Later I found it very interesting (and even more fascinated!) we had something like this, a strongly pagan-ish work. I think it's either one of our own gods, Ukko, or Thor from the scandinavian mythology. Basically the same thing, only Thor is Odin's son whereas Ukko is both, the main god and the thunder god. I think it's from this iron casting factory (I don't know the proper word, sorry. The place they do cast iron things.) my father's father used to work in. I always think about the thing during a thunderstorm.

Now I think there's still thunder in the air because my head feels heavy and aches a bit. Thunder is nice but it hurts a bit. Hope I'm not catching any odd disease (swine flu! sorry.).
