Dinner Plans III
It looks like the 12th would suit best, though Joe can't make it that day, sadly. He's certainly got something in the morning-afternoon, but maybe the evening? or do I have it backwards? Not sure.
Logstics:
A. Popoli, you said that 11 AM is the eariest you can arrive. Sounds good.
B. Ryan, I assume you and Mariah will want to come in via train, which is easy to do. Trains run once every hour on Saturdays. Have an idea when?
C. Do we keep unfashionable hours in the service? What time shall we have dinner?
D. Any other guests?
E. I assume with everyone arriving in the mid/late morning I should do the shoppping before hand.
F. Post-dinner entertainment? Munchkin? Pirates? Pirate Munchkin? Musical contributions? Movies? Bad puns? Debauching sloths?
G. I need to check in, but if you [plural] want to stay the night, I'm certain things can be arranged.
H. Anything else?
Plan of Battle
1. Spotted Dog it is. I've talked to my godparents, and suet should be locatable - there's a butcher in Springhouse. I think though, I may try to do a trial run of this first if I get the chance.
2. Ryan, you've got my vote for roast chicken, if you want to adapt it from a spit.
2a. No pie makers? Oh well, I think we've enough cooking any way.
3. A snack, if I have the chance. From that article I found last week, the cheese of preference appears to be Cheshire and Gloucester Cheese. Any ideas where to find this?
4. STILL need to make the ships' biscuit, for goodness sake.
5. Nothing on having actual veggies themselves. Should we pick up a stew then? I think I saw chicken, beef, and rabbit.
6. Popoil, thanks for your offer.
7. No votes for soup, so maybe not.
8. I know that we're not going to be serving walnuts. Any other allergies?
9. Oh, yah, and ahhh... lunch. Any preference?
Menu at moment:
Bread: Hard tack or a True French Short Bastard [D, cooked either before or freshly bought]
Main Dish: Roast Chicken [R]
Side: Spotted Dog
Desert: ?
Cheese: Cheshire or Gloucester Cheese
Snack: Toasted cheese, Naples Biscuits and coffee [ugh!]
Drinks: Grape Juice... and something else.
