[When the shades had started to attack her while she was outside, she instinctively reached out for her kodachi and shuriken even though she knew her weapons wouldn't be there, genuinely surprised when she found out that they were actually with her. she would've questioned the logic of this, had it not been for two shades attacking her at the same time and almost catching her off-guard, causing her gadget and the food she had with her to fall to the ground. she curses under her breath as she dodges another one of the attacks, upset that her food had spilled.]

Dammit. You're going to pay for that. [she told one the shades, taking one of her shurikens and aiming it at the creature, cutting through it as she simultaneously blocks an attack from another one of the shades using her kodachi. she jumps back a little before rushing towards the shade to strike, her kodachi in hand and ready to slash at it and give it a full blow. even though her face didn't show it, shiina was enjoying herself. with her weapons, she felt more like herself again; now this was something she could do and was quite good at.]

{After speaking very briefly to Shiina, Gokudera had found himself grabbing his box weapons and a belt of the dynamite he'd stashed and rushing out. While it was true he no longer had feelings for her and she was just another woman, he couldn't just go an let her get killed if she was being attacked - the Tenth would be so disgraced if he did something like that.

When he'd reached outside, it didn't take him long to find Shiina - after all, the city was just a little town now. Igniting the flames on his storm ring, he slammed it into his Vongola gear box, activiting G's Archery. He watched Shiina fighting from afar - getting up close and personal wasn't his thing - silent for a few moments, poised to shoot as soon as he needed to.

He didn't have to wait long. Another of the creatures came from behind Shiina, joining it's two friends. This one stood from afar, pulling out a pistol. Gokudera felt a strange twinge of familiarity and he frowned, mind elsewhere for a moment before he shook himself out of it and fired a storm arrow directly at the shade.}

What the hell are these things?! You okay there?

{He didn't know if his attack had been effective, but he didn't wait to see before firing another arrow at the same target.}

[After attacking one of the shades, she turned to look and saw Gokudera. She glares straight at him, before taking one of her shurikens and aiming it just behind him, cutting nicely through and hitting a shade who had crept up behind him and was preparing to attack him, probably upset at some of it's companions being taken out.]

I'm fine.

[She takes a second to blink at him, thinking she had more or less taken out most of the shades who had attacked her, when out of the corner of her eye, she saw that one of the shades she had attacked was still up and about and had just pulled a trigger and aimed at her. She dodged just in the nick of time, although one of the bullets had found it's way and penetrated her shoulder.]

Shit, what a blunder! [with her kodachi in hand, she went directly to the shade and began attacking it head on before it could try shooting at her or Gokudera. She fought more fiercely this time, void slashing at the shade at a faster rate despite her shoulder beginning to hurt and she could feel the pain. She didn't stop attacking however, driven by the fact that she was upset at herself for being so careless as to let herself be hit.]

{Gokudera hadn't even noticed the shade behind him, so when he was saved, he found himself a little shocked. That was what he was here to do, not cause more trouble - the last thing he wanted was to be indebted to Shiina.

He also didn't that one of the shades that Shiina had attacked had recovered and was aiming at her. He only turned his attention that way after being snapped out of the shock by the shot. Before enquiring to her health again, he made sure that the one he'd fired at wasn't getting up, and by that time, she was attacking even more furiously than she had been before. At least she didn't need help.

He instead focusses on keeping a watch for more. When more arrive, he finds fear creeping into his belly, just a little whisper, but enough for him to notice and frown. Why the hell should these bastards scare him? They were obviously weaker than anything he'd faced before... Yet when his eyes meet with a glowing pair of eyes, he freezes up for a moment, long enough for the shade to get close enough to slash at him with a flip-knife, opening a wound in his firing arm.}

Fuck!!

[ooc-oh man, I love doing fight logs :3]

[It hadn't taken Yamamoto long to get caught up in fighting his own pocket of shades near his apartment soon after they'd shown up. He hadn't had much trouble taking care of them with Jirou and Kojirou giving him a helping hand. He still wasn't able to use some of his more powerful attacks, mainly anything that integrated the two box weapons into Shigure Kintoki, but they were still useful in battle.

When he through fighting his own outbreak, he went in search of others that might need help. As luck would have it, the first people he comes to are Gokudera and Shiina. He arrives in time to see Gokudera injured by of the shades and just before it can strike again, he dispatches it with a Yarazu no Ame, kicking the blade toward the shade and piercing it through the center.]

Haha, that was pretty close, huh?

{{Juliet, having seen some up close and way too personal, emerges carefully from her hiding spot in an alleyway.}}

What... what are they? {{she frowns and messes with her ponytail}}

[By the time Shiina had finished off the bastard who had attacked her and made sure that it wasn't going to get up anytime soon, the pain in her shoulder had spread to her entire arm, throbbing and more painful than before. It didn't help that it was her right arm that was deeply wounded either. She turned to see if Gokudera was okay and was glad when she saw that someone else was fighting and helping them, although it didn't show on her face because she was more frustrated when she saw that more shades had appeared.]

Dammit, why are you so persistent?

[she cursed under her breath, and ignoring the fact that her arm ached and became more painful with just the slightest movement, she moved head on and attacked the shades, using all the techniques that she had mastered of the kodachi. Mind over matter, she told herself. This kind of pain was nothing. She was going to defeat those bastards even if she bled to death or even if her arm fell off, she thought to herself. With all her might, she striked and slashed at the shade furiously, and used her shuriken to slice and cut some of the other ones. When she noticed a girl coming out from an alleyway and saw that one of the shades was headed for her, she frowned and threw a shuriken towards the shade, a perfect hit].

{The attack successfully loosened him up, just in time to be too late to dodge the next attack aimed at him. But then a familiar sword came shooting past, hitting the shade right in the chest and knocking it down. Following where the sword had come from, his eyes fell on Yamamoto, and while he didn't show he was grateful, he was - and he sort of knew the damn Baseball Idiot would be able to tell.

Spinning around when he heard another voice, he spotted a girl coming out of a nearby alleyway and glared at her. What an idiot! Who the hell would be running around without weapons or powers? The Shade that Shiina hit wasn't the only one that had been stalking the idiot girl - from within the alleyway, two emerged.

Rolling his eyes, Gokudera lifted his bow, ignoring the sting in his arm, and fired four arrows simultaneously at the two shades, hitting them square in the chest and head. Whatever the hell these things were, they weren't human - he didn't have to hold back.}

What an idiot!!

{He turned to Yamamoto, and found himself glad that the other had his back. As much as he hated to admit it, they were a good pair when it came to fighting.}

How many more are there?!

[Yamamoto ran the short distance that still separated him and the little group and retrieved his sword, readying himself for the next shade that closed in. He whistled sharply and a few shades around the parameter were quickly dispatched by Jirou, his growls sounding more playful than threatening, as if he shared his master's outlook that these things were really much more annoying than they were dangerous.

When a fairly sizable pack of shades closed in on the group from one side, Yamamoto left his position and rushed them, slicing through three of them with the first strike.

The second set wasn't quite quite so taken aback by him, however. Especially that one with a gun that he had to dodge with a quick slide into an imaginary home plate. A growl to his immediate left let him know that Jirou had taken care of the one with the gun, which allowed Yamamoto to take out the other two on his roll back to his feet.

With a laugh, he made it back to his starting position and bumped his shoulder into Gokudera's uninjured one.]

I dunno but it's pretty exciting, huh?

[Exciting? How shallow-minded, Shiina thought to herself as she continued to fight off the shades that were around her. Her right arm was slowing her down a bit but she was successful in numbing the pain away at least for awhile. She continued linking attacks and shadow-slashing with her kodachi, dashing in a dagger-like fashion and managing to confuse some of the shades before she attacked and slashed with all her strength again, finishing them off. She felt a little relieved when the number of shades that surrounded her seemingly decreased, although she didn't let her guard down this time, ready to attack or block whenever needed be.]

How many more? [she asked, turning her head a little bit to see how Gokudera and Yamamoto were faring.]

{{Juliet frowned, then ran past Shiina, jumped and spun. Her ring flashed as it swung around her head and took out two shades that had been heading towards the other girl. Landing squarely on her feet, she readied herself for another attack.}}

Now we're even! Thanks for the help! {{she told Shiina, a smile on her face}}
