Slight correction: you have me picking up my pass before I go. No, I was just picking up my baggage tag. I already had my pass to get on board, which I picked up when I arrived in Colorado Springs.

Fixed. You're such a stickler. :P But I did try for an accurate trip report. Now this is really a journal again!

Also: you said you got us lost. No. The directions you were given and the horrible drawings on the map got us lost.

Okay, this is true, but I do tend to have like this anti-aptitude for navigation. ;)

Yeah, though there was a lot of driving, and a couple close calls in Colorado Springs driving. I'm surprised CW didn't freak out. lol *Hugs back the folfyote.*

Pardo the photos were great. I hope you don't mind that I saved some to my computer. Thanks for writing this out. CW doesn't explain much about his trip, so it was good to read the adventures of a Tiger & a Snow Leopard. By the way, the eagle photo was wonderful! :)

CW eats a lot of Beef & Broccoli! He also likes chicken balls & chow mien. I don't go to the movies on my own, so I completely understand. I don't really have a chum here in the city to do stuff with, so again I completely understand.

I've seen some episodes of "Burn Notice" & "The Whole Truth". He's into watching "Castle" too. I'm not too fond of "The Whole Truth". Take care. *Hugs the Snow Leopard.*

You're welcome to save them. I don't mind at all. CW intends to write a full trip report, but I don't know if and when that will happen. We'll have to keep at him about it, eh? *Smiles and hugs.* I'm glad you liked the eagle. They were so far away up in the trees that it was difficult to get a good picture. That was the best out of like 5 attempts.

Chicken balls? I don't think I've ever had that. I need to try Emo's, I guess. I'm so used to doing things on my own, but I very quickly got used to having someone to do stuff with. Going back to doing stuff alone was shell-shock.

I find the first two series interesting, but I still haven't managed to see the end of the premier of "Burn Notice." You take care as well, Radar. *Hugs back.*

And one more even. You can't fault me for taking snow leopard pictures. I mean, come on now.

I don't think I have ever faulted a person for taking snow leopard pictures. =3

One of the things that really strikes me in these picture is how far behind us you are in autumn; the trees in your shots look like the ones here did about a month ago.

I'm saying this is a raven, though I do admit to having trouble telling the difference between ravens and crows.

It's easy! Ravens are... that is, crows have, well, they're black and have beaks while ravens... trust me, it's easy.

I just wish I had a better camera! And the photo op we had when we first got there! If only people, with kids, hadn't come up upon us and scared her off.

Well, this was in Colorado, and that's a bit of a distance from me. Though autumn is in full swing now even where I live. These pics were taken back in mid-October. You Canadian cats. You get awesome vistas, great winters, all that snow...

Yeah, it's a Craven!!!

Us Canadian cats are so lucky, aren't we? *Grins.*

Luck is in the eye of the beholder. Give me warm tropical sun any day (or a hurricane). ;-)

Good photos and a seemingly good time, overall. I'm surprised by how... not far up... the mountain views seem. I mean, they're similar to what I used to get in the New England mountains which can't be as high as the Rockies. Then, I recall your mentioning Pike's Peak as not being that tall... Will try to make a more thorough reply soon - maybe tomorrow with breakfast coffee.

It's really hard to portray depth and distance in 2 dimensions. It's far grander in person. You'll just have to trust me. And it feels high up, it really does. Darn, I should've taken some widescreen shots of video. My DV camcorder can manage that, but in standard def resolution. It was one of the first mainstream digi video cams that could do that. But it has to disable image stabilization in order to manage it. I need a tripod for such instances, or just a newer video camera. Darn but technology speeds ahead. $550 in 2006 is worth what...$50 today? The DV tapes I have to buy for it are probably worth more than it is. oO

This makes good sense. Oh geesh, too, DV tapes are ancient. We need get you one of those modern pocket-sized digital recorders. The ones my labs use are fantastic, even have a 60x optical zoom. I really like the photos of The Wall. The fall colors are appealing to me - are those aspens I see?! They look awesome.

My DV camcorder is awesome quality though, as for what it is. Even in its low quality still pics, you can see the vivid colours it pics up. It's just 4 years old. Darn, technology moves too fast. The first Panasonic my family had was purchased in like '86 or '87 and lasted until its battery would no longer hold a charge in like 2002-2003, I think. Now you're supposed to toss out your video camera every two years and get a new one with the latest technology? I think it's a sham. Our society is just too dedicated to the throw away and buy more philosophy. I can't afford a $500 purchase every 2-3 years. I expect my stuff to last 10 at least. lol

Stone wall is pretty neat, and yes, aspens and birches, I believe.
