Broken Social Scene puts on a fucking amazing live show, and I am in love.
Maggie I thought of you when they played "Anthems for a 17 year old girl". It was so incredible, I nearly cried. Tears of joy naturally, and of course tears of bittersweetness and missing you and my sister. How many times have we both listened to that song on repeat, together and on our own??? How many late night car rides has that song transformed into a beautiful dream??? I would have liked to hear bother versions of "Lover's Spit", but I was very happy to hear both the fast and slow versions of "Major Label Debut". I danced so much. Their encore was pretty much just a dance party, Literally... they turned the lights on the audiences, played some grooves and ordered us to dance and scream. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING.
