Was it just me? (Dexter and the Tudors)
or did season 4 of Dexter suck? I want a dark comedy about a serial killer, not one poorly-written cliche after another. Why is Dexter so sappy all of a sudden? Why is everyone so sappy and ick. I will say though that little boy Cody is sure adorable, even if I preferred them as sociopaths-in-training in the books.
Season 3 of the Tudors was pretty good. JRM is still off as Henry VIII (I know, he's a racist alcoholic asshole in real life). He would have made a better Caligula or something, as he seems more psycho than . . . well Henry VIII-like. But I like that the show tries to show us more about his reign than the royal sexcapades, or wifecapades. Also it had James Frain. The whole Anne of Cleves debacle was kind of rushed by the show, but oh well. Obviously they are anxious to get on to the salacious and frankly idiotic tale of one Katherine Howard. Can't say I blame them.
And of course we're getting ever closer to Game of Thrones. Yay.
