Goal Tracking Ideas

Jun 10, 2007 08:16

So, I've been reading some things online and handouts on goal-setting/tracking from a recent conference, as well as brainstorming ideas. Here's some things I've come up with. Feel free to give me more suggestions or general encouragement on accomplishing my goals.

General things:
*Article on goal-tracking tool: habit-enhancing charts, goal calendars, encouragement emails to self, journals, reporting to a buddy daily or weekly, and using your current day planner.
*Habit-making charts & bookmarks
*Blog on Goal Setting (related to the reminder email service below, also has a forum)
*Free Goal Reminder Emailing Service (I'm using my PDA to remind me to update my goal tracking and to take a walk.)
*Goal Setting Guide (guides/tips, wallpapers, links to buying posters, quotes, etc.)
*Joe's Goals, an online goal-tracking chart you can customize.

I've looked at several Windows and Palm PDA software regarding goal-tracking and haven't been impressed with any of them. The free ones have very impersonal and cumbersome interfaces, so I won't bother listing them. One called PathwaysV3P2-B even gave me a headache from trying to figure out basic functions in the calendar tab and kept crashing whenever I tried to add a new goal. myLifeOrganized looked promising, but the free version is very limited and their PDA program only works for PocketPCs and not for Palms.
