Okage Chapter 3: As Her Majesty Commands

Apr 15, 2007 18:24

...And here I thought Chapter 5 was the longest one. I stand corrected.

As usual, Okage is the property of Zener Works and does not belong to me, I'm not making any profit from this although I wouldn't say no if I were. 80+ pages, wtf??. Any grammar or spelling errors in the text are exactly as they appear in-game.

Stan: I don’t need letters.
Those are something for…
typical weak-minded humans.
It’s so pathetic…like I miss you
or I wanna meet you…some even
say I love you the most in the world.
They cannot maintain a peaceful mind
without putting it down on paper.
Then finally, they deny the
letter itself by saying things like
I wanna meet you…pathetic animals.
That’s why it will be so easy to
rule them. You must appreciate
the wisdom of what I’m saying, slave.
Ari: Responses: -You don’t like letters? Are you illiterate?
-Maybe your writing is messy?
-You are illiterate, aren’t you?
Stan: Don’t push it, rat-boy!! How many
years do you think I’ve lived in this
world? I mastered all languages!
Still water runs deep. The true
Evil King doesn’t need to show off
his intelligence to lower beings!
I told you. A letter is for lower
class animals that communicate
only through spoken languages.
Slave, go to that bustling place first.
We can take care of that
bothersome errand later.

Bulletin Board: Everybody’s Bulletin Board.
Post requests to the mayor.
No graffiti permitted.

Bulletin Board: Darn!
There’s a rumor of the
Princess visiting Rashelo.
The schedule of the Princess in the
paper came from a reliable source.
According to that schedule, she’ll
come to Rashelo in secret.
It’s too sudden and the Mayor and
assembly are panicking but they
assure us they’re not. Sure!

Down to Earth Solider: Sorry.
We’re using this road.
If you want to meet the mayor,
go around, will you?

Heroes’ Club:

Cheerful Clerk: Big event, big event.
It’s going to be trouble.
I really want to get a sneak
peak at what’s going on.
Therefore, it’s time.
I’m taking a break.
If you have any questions.
you’ll have to ask someone
else.

Antsy Clerk: When there’s a big event
like this, heroes start coming
out of the woodwork.
I guess they want to try their luck.
You know, get noticed and
become famous.
Oops, gotta go soon!
The shift change is coming up.

Hero with Keen Nose: At these kinds of events
something always happens.
It’s a chance to show my ability.
If anything happens to the Princess,
it’ll be my time to take center stage.

Hero with Very Keen Nose: I smell something. Something in
the air. Something’s going to happen.
My heart is singing.

House:

Easygoing Lady: It hasn’t been this lively
since the festival.
By the way, do you know
whose fishing rod it is
at the front?
Somebody set it there without
telling me. It’s annoying. Really…

Fishing Rod: A fishing rod.
There is a red float on the line
but the bait is gone.

Rosalyn: I wonder what’s going on?
There are so many people here…
By the way, Stan!
Don’t move and talk in front of
people, okay?
If people find out that
I am with you…
not only will my hero qualification be
revoked but I also
won’t be able to marry!
Stan: HA HA, don’t make me laugh, you,
dishwater woman. You’re going to age
all alone anyway!
All of your efforts are in vain!
Hahahahahahaha!
Rosalyn: …Ari!
Again, you’re mistaking me for you,
pancake shadow!
Kisling: Hmm?
Look at that. Somebody came out.
Who is it?

*Marlene and Beiloune leave the Mayor’s house and walk down the pier*

Townsperson: Oh, Princess…

Townsperson: It’s her Highness,
Princess Marlene…

Stan: Princess?
Rosalyn: Shh, be quiet!

Middle Aged Man: Princess Marlene is taking a boat
to the symbol of the lake,
the “Aquatic Ruins”.
The “Aquatic Ruins” is the place
for an important ceremony!
The villagers are prohibited to take
a boat on the lake for 2 days.
This is so as not to disturb the
Princess’ prayers until the
ceremony is over.
