This and that
So I finally spent my birthday money.
I got a PS2, Xenosaga, and FF9. I started in on Xenosaga, and it's a lot of fun, but the cutscenes! Gah. It's all pretty and entertaining, but when I have to pause a single cutscene twice to go to the bathroom, it's too long.
My roommate's trying to get me interested in a new miniatures game called Warmachine. I've been reading the rulebook and it actually looks pretty cool. Basic theme is that you have a Warcaster who controls Warjacks, steam-powered robots controlled by magic that smash things.
In other news, for anyone who knows what the FFRPG is, I've been trying to run a playtest session for it. Only nobody's interested. What's even more irksome is that there are lots of people interested in the non-playtest games and campaigns, but nobody wants to help finish the current ruleset. It's very annoying.
I'm definitely enjoying my week off. Aside from tossing together a syllabus, I have off until Tuesday, and that's only a meeting. My first real day back at work is Wednesday.
