Over in debunkingwhite, there is a link to an article in which a white woman waxes poetic about black men. Boy, do they get upset. It makes me feel like I'm missing something. Why should I care about/judge a woman who likes black guys? Change the words "Black guy" with "Tall guy" or "Bald Guy" or "Short guy" or

few years ago, i wrote a paper for an anthropology class. it was a short story, with the premise that to combat AIDS, non-white/non-chinese people were strongly encouraged to have children with white or chinese people - because people who are desended from those who survived the Black Death have a point mutation that gives a partial immunity to AIDS. and so in a couple of centuries everyone was mixed (and AIDS had gone the way of smallpox) and there was a group of people from a colony trying to re-immigrate to earth. and they were all white, mostly blonde. many of them experienced a strange reaction - natural blondes were almost unheard of, and so many people wouldn't flirt with the blondes, because they were TOO good looking. it was all very strange - my original point was the end of AIDS, but my teacher kept asking for more and more, with ideas and thoughts and... i had a repopulation of California by the end of it!

anyway, that really wasn't appros of anything. i was just reminded of the paper because the people who came back didn't have ANYONE who was bald, and they had quit believing that people became bald naturally (i don't remember why). one of the teens who was from the colony so hated the fact that he was blonde and stood out and everything that he shaved his head and was ostrasized by the other colonists.

it was A Thing, ok? i got an A, that was the important bit. on the paper and the class over-all.
