I was told that homosexuality wasn't considered an alternative sexual preference until the 30s...I think (or some random point in time, blame me for not paying attention well enough in classes).

The only other animal that has sex for pleasure aside from humans are dolphins. Which makes me wonder if there are gay dolphins?

religion has always long annoyed me with their stand on this. I'm christian and anglican but I'd rather not be judged according to that as I fully support the union between two people who genuinely love each other, regardless of gender. It also complicates the idea that bi/homosexual people can believe in God and all that.

Ah i didn't know about the dolphins, but it would be interesting if there is actually instances of observed homosexual tendency in the animal kingdom.

And i agree, i was brought up as a christian catholic, and it's just sad how religion discriminnates against them.

yeah, I always live by the basis that Jesus loves everybody, but it's sad to hear priests and superiors gloat on about how it's wrong whenever the topic arises at churches and stuff

Heh the sad thing still is that the value of their teachings tend to oppose the rules and standards that they are setting.

oh that's very true. Do you realize how snobby some Christians are outside of church? It's quite disgusting.

What i hate more though is some tend to be very condescending, they feel they have the right to play God and judge others by their standards.

that too. In most cases for them really it's 'do as I say and not as I do'. Ridiculous.
