been listening to some new albums lately. here's a quick summary and review:
The Coup / Pick a Bigger Weapon - thumbs up, good and fun. My Favorite Mutiny a highlight track.
The Streets / The Hardest Way to Make an Easy living - big thumbs up. way more polished than the previous
albums but still with that signature rawness. awesome lyrics, doesn't take itself too seriously and hilarious to boot.
Thom York Solo album / Eraser - big thumbs up. i'm not a fan of solo albums, but this one is pretty amazing. very
mellow and electronic sounding. just good music all in all. signature thom sound but mellowed out.
Zero 7 / The Garden - i'm mixed on this one. it sounds different from their last album and definately not as good
as their first and their best. i think i need to listen to it a bit more, but they're missing that smoothness that made
me catch on to them. still, their live show i saw a year ago was one of the best live shows i've seen musically.
DJ Krush / Stepping Stones - good best of remix album, get the lyrics version and not the no-lyrics one
