Two things:
THING NUMBER ONE:
I got a job!!!! The guy who recorded my college cd (those songs Ben posted on his LJ and facebook) called me today and said he really loved my voice and he wants me as a session vocalist. That means that when he needs someone to do backup vocals or a commercial thing, he calls me, and I go over there to record it for him and his clients. It pays $100 a gig. I am a working musician. That is so fucking cool. I am a working musician!
THING NUMBER TWO:
I emailed my application for theatre JC to Mickey and Laura about 20 minutes ago. It feels so weird. It's so out of my hands now. Is it bad that I'm more worried about my JC app than my college app? Both are due tomorrow...haha and guess which one I sent out first?
I reeeeally really really want this job, though. I think I care more about getting this job than getting into my top choice school. That's probably bad.
If I don't get the job, I wonder if I'll be coming back next summer at all.
I LIED...THING NUMBER THREE:
Everyone come see the show! It stars a bunch of people you probably know and most definitely love. Alexa Cottrell, Phoebe Dunn, Maile Hamilton, Ali Ross, Melanie Rubin, Anna Samel, Olivia Nielson, Taylor Gibbs, Annabel Lindau, Lauren Fiorelli, Phae Nowak, and me. It's actually really really good. We've worked our asses off on this.
